Technology Rationale

Technology Rationale

The technology we used was for the purpose of engaging with the students, helping with accessibility and the flexibility of our course. We used Opened.ca to make an easily accessible course that can be used anywhere and anytime you want just as long as you have a connection to the internet. This was designed so the learner can work through the interactive meal plans, research database and structured online content.

We used Youtube as a multimedia element that makes learning more accessible and engaging while slideshows help students with learning. These two technologies help students by strengthening their application based learning instead of just memorization.

Technology also fosters collaboration aligning with our constructivist approach by integrating digital tools into our course. We create a practical engaging reflective learning environment that supports long term wellness habits.
