Peer Feedback Guide
This course is designed so that you can benefit from one another’s understandings and thoughts through groupwork and discussion. In order for this to work, the communication needs to be positive and respectful. Please observe the following guidelines to create a constructive learning space.
- Notice positive points about your fellow students’ work and habits. Begin your suggestions on a positive note.
- Offer suggestions, but leave room for disagreement. For example, use phrases such as

- I think this is a possible solution. What do you think?
- You might improve this part by…
- Remember that people come to this course with varying levels of access to fresh fruits and vegetables and other healthy foods. As well, people have different levels of understanding of health and healthy eating. Finally, people from different cultural backgrounds will be used to different foods. Be open to learning about one another and try to give feedback that works with one another’s preferences and resources.
